The brake is integrated in the drive shaft pref. a cardan shaft. It comprises a stator housing of a light metallic alloy carrying two clusters of magnetic coils arranged at both sides of the housing parallel to a brake shaft located in a housing hub. A rotor consists of two discs fixed on the brake shaft, near to both sides of the magnetic coils, which are provided with air circulation for dissipating the heat. Each disc has two parts arranged axially one behind the other and connected together. The outer part forms a fan wheel with lamellar spokes with material of special mechanical and thermal characteristics. |
