PURPOSE:To prevent the wasteful use of regular printing paper by detecting the existence of the paper in a cyclic path and not starting test printing when the paper exists. CONSTITUTION:The paper transferred to an intermediate tray 10 is fed to a carrier path by a feeding roller 11 and carried by carrying rollers 6-12, 6-13, 6-14 and 6-15, then it stops in a specified position. And it is held until the indication of the paper supply of a both-surface unit is issued from a controller. When a test printing switch 18 is turned on, the value in a both-surface unit counter 19 is decided and test printing is started if it is zero. If the both-surface unit counter 19 is not zero it is judged that there is paper in a printer device, and the test printing is not started. While the paper indicated from the controller 21 and regularly printed exists in the cyclic path for both-surface printing, the starting of the test printing is skipped. Thus, the disuse of the regular printing paper caused by the failure of test printing paper can be prevented. |
