PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having superior graininess, sharpness and high sensitivity and hardly causing stain, by incorporating a specified coupler. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide color photographic sensitive material contg. a coupler represented by formula I is used. In the formula I, A is a coupler residue which releases a group exclusive of A after a coupling reaction with the oxidized product of a developing agent, TIME is a timing group which releases a group exclusive of TIME and bonding to time through O atom after release from A by the coupling reaction, R1 is alkyl, aryl group, etc., R2 is a substituent and X is -OH, -NHSO2R3, -NH2, etc. The coupler is stable during storage and releases a reducing agent having high power to scavenge the oxidized product of a color developing agent at the time of development. The silver halide color photographic sensitive material has superior graininess, sharpness and high sensitivity and hardly causes stain. |
