<p>This retractor comprises a reel (2) mounted rotatably in a support (1), a belt (3) wound about said reel, a spring (4a) for returning the reel in the belt winding direction and a mechanism for locking the rotation of the reel (2) under the command of detector means sensitive to sudden decelerations of the vehicle and to a sudden increase in the tension of the belt (3), the locking mechanism comprising, mounted on the spindle of the reel, a ring (12) for the guidance of rollers (9) for locking the rotation of the reel (2), interacting under the action of a cam (7) driven by the spindle (5) of the reel (2) with a lock ring fixed to the support, an inertia piece (14) mounted idly on the spindle of the reel (2) and held within the guide ring (2), a member (15) for stopping the rotation of the guide ring (12), activated by the inertia piece (14) and interacting with an annular part (21) mounted on the lock ring (10) fixed to the support, the annular part (21) having projections (20) distributed at regular intervals on its inner periphery, and means (21, 22, 23, 24) for preventing locking of the reel (2) in the belt (3) winding direction under the action of the inertia piece (14). <IMAGE></p> |
