PURPOSE:To convey the copied surface of an original to an exposure position at the time of jamming by storing the way that the front and back of a double-sided original are exposed and scanned, inverting or normally conveying the original to be re-conveyed based on the stored contents when the original placed on an original tray is re-conveyed by releasing jamming, controlling said original, thereby conveying it to the exposure position. CONSTITUTION:After the originals 18 placed in the prescribed position of the original platen 1 are exposed and scanned in response to the number of copies of the originals 18, the originals are sent to an inverting and conveying part 35 due to drive in the normal direction of a conveying belt 24. At that time, an original stopper 19 is retreated, and the regulation of the top edge of the original is released. The originals 18 are guided to a discharge roller 27 by means of a switching gate 29 and are discharged to a discharge tray 28 with their image surfaces facing upward. Those procedures are repeated until all the originals are discharged. If the originals 18 are single-sided, they are not conveyed through the inverting and conveying part 25 when they are placed on the original platen 1. Hence, even if the originals are jammed on the way of conveying, they are again placed on the original tray 21 with their image surfaces facing downward. |
