PURPOSE: To specify whether or not a shading process is performed without converting display information by adding an index table which specifies a color code indirectly. CONSTITUTION: A 1st indirect color index table 13 is added which indicates the range of a color to be mapped as a result of a shading process with a maximum and a minimum value of color indexes. An execution means 14 which determines whether or not shading is executed corresponds to an input equipment 11. Namely, a color code 'L' indicates an address of the indirect color index table 13 when shading is performed, colors used for actual shading operation are 'L1 ' and 'L2 ' as contents of the index table 13, and the ranges of L1 and L2 is divided in shading operation, so the range is defined by color codes. When no shading is performed, the color code 'L' is supplied as it is to a color look-up table 12. Consequently, whether or not the shading process is performed is specified without modifying the display information. |
