PURPOSE:To manufacture an artificial marble whose grain pattern is not spoiled, by method wherein a transfer sheet having printing of a grain pattern with dye ink on a mold release film is arranged on the bottom of a casting mold and a composition composed of polymerizable syrup of acrylic resin, a filling agent and a polymerization initiator is cast and cured. CONSTITUTION:A transfer sheet 1 having printing 12 of a grain pattern of dye ink on a mold release film 11 is arranged on the bottom of a casting mold 2, a composition 3 composed of acrylic resin, polymerizable syrup of methacrylate as a representative substance, a filling agent and a polymerization ion initiator is cast, cured and a cast molding 4 to the surface of which the printing 12 of the grain pattern has been transferred is obtained. A plastic film such as polypropylene or unsaturated polyester or nylon or cellulose is used as a mold release film. When a film to be obtained by adding silica to plastic or a matter to be obtained by performing sand blast processing to the plastic, the surface of artificial marble is obtained in a matted state. |
