摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain 2,3-dialkoxythiophene polymer film containing recurring unit having a specific structural formula and having excellent electroconductivity and mechanical characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A 3,4-dialkoxythiophene (e.g. 3,4-dimethoxythiophene) expressed by formula I is subjected to electrolytic oxidation polymerization using an organic solvent (e.g. acetonitrile) as a solvent in the presence of an electrolyte (e.g. tetraethylammonium perchlorate) to provide 3,4-dialkoxythiophene polymer film containing mainly recurring unit expressed by formula II on an anode. When the film is further subjected to stretching and orientation treatment in at least one direction, strength and electroconductivity of the film is improved.
