PURPOSE:To obtain the developer for processing an electrostatic charge image developer long in usable life and high in rising speed of electric charging by using a carrier obtained by coating a magnetic material with at least one of styrene polymers, acrylic polymers, and styrene-acrylic copolymers, and incorporating a fatty acid metal salt in the surfaces, and a toner containing a fatty acid metal salt. CONSTITUTION:The developer of the electrostatic charge image is composed of the carrier obtained by coating the magnetic material with at least one of styrene polymers, acrylic polymers, and styrene-acrylic copolymers, and incorporating a fatty acid metal salt in the surfaces and the toner containing the fatty acid metal salt, thus permitting usable life to be extended and the rising speed of charging to be enhanced by using the carrier containing the fatty acid metal salt in the surface of the coating layer good in adhesiveness, and these effects to be maintained for a long period by using the toner containing the fatty acid metal salt. |
