<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a hot wire type air flowmeter from malfunctioning owing to a disturbance signal even when use in bad electromagnetic environment by covering the heating resistance body of the hot wire type air flowmeter with a conductive case, and grounding this conductive case. CONSTITUTION:An intake 11 and an outlet 12 for suction air 5 to be measured are formed on both sides of a cylindrical housing 10 made of a synthetic resin material, and the housing 10 is partitioned into a main air flow passage 14 and a by-pass air flow passage 15 by the housing 13. An insertion hole 18 is bored in the top surface of this housing 10, a recessed part 19 is formed in the wall body 13 opposite the insertion hole 18, and a hot wire 1 and a cold wire 2 as heating resistors and the conductive case 6 arranged covering their support pins 9 are fixed there. The conductive case 6 is fixed to a metallic base 4 with a conductive adhesive 7. Consequently, if a disturbance signal is generated, this signal is grounded through the conductive case and the circuit part is prevented from malfunctioning.</p> |
