PURPOSE:To obtain a composite superconductor with high critical temperature and critical current density by filling the mixed powder of ordinary conductive metal powder and oxide superconductor powder in a heat-resistant container and heating it then gradually cooling it with a temperature gradient and coagulating it with the preset directivity. CONSTITUTION:BaCO3 2mol% powder, Y2O3 0.5mol% powder, and CuO 3mol% powder are mixed, for example, and baked for 48hr at 900 deg.C and crushed then baked for 24hr at 800 deg.C in the atmosphere to be reacted. Oxygen is introduced into the oxygen vacancy, then the powder is crushed and classified to obtain the oxide superconductor powder with the perovskite structure and the diameter/ thickness ratio of 1-5 and the average grain size of 2mum. 50mol% of the copper powder with the average grain size of 100mum is added to 50mol% of this powder and thoroughly mixed, the mixture is filled in an alumina pipe with a water cooling mechanism made of a copper plate at one end, and the other end is blocked with an alumina plug having a vent hole. It is heated and melted for 0.5hr at 1200 deg.C with an external heater, then the copper plate is cooled to 20 deg.C, the pipe is moved at the speed of 0.05mm/sec in the longitudinal direction and cooled to the normal temperature. |
