PURPOSE:To enhance the discharge voltage characteristics of a battery and the rate of active substance utilization by using a black mix of specific substance to the positive pole, and by restricting the mix proportion and filling density within specified ranges. CONSTITUTION:Existing battery is equipped with a lithium negative pole. At a positive pole, a black mix consisting of a mixture of vanadium pentoxide powder and carbon electroconductive material is held in a sintering of Ni fiber, wherein the content of the electroconductive material ranges 5-40wt.% while the black mix filling density 1.5-2.5g/cm<2>. Thereby a lithium battery is obtained which excels in discharge voltage characteristics and the rate of active substance utilization. |
