PURPOSE:To lessen the loss part by providing a greater glass piece, coating its surface with fluorescent substance, and thereby increasing brightness of the end of a tube. CONSTITUTION:The dia. of a glass piece 9 shall have a size to the limit allowing accommodation in the inner dia. of a fluorescent lamp 1, and the surface is coated with fluorescent substance. The radiated light from a filament 3 penetrates the piece 9 and is reflected at it, all becoming effective fluorescent light. This increases brightness of the tube end of fluorescent lamp with loss part suppressed minimum, and thus a fluorescent lamp for backlight can be made in a small size. |
