A vehicle 2 is fitted with a station 1 for recording parameters 4, 6 of a transport trip in a memory cartridge 9. A read station 3 is configured to receive the memory cartridge in order to print out 20 the parameters of this transport trip. In order to be informed of the vehicle and of the name of the driver who has made the transport trip, the recording station includes accesses 8 for receiving information related to the identification of this vehicle 11 and of this driver 14, and means 12, 15 for transmitting this information into the operating cartridge. At the moment of printing, information is given as to the name of the driver and the vehicle used for the transport trip without having to individualise the operating cartridges 9 for a particular driver/vehicle pair. This would have the effect of needlessly increasing the number of operating cartridges necessary to allow different drivers to drive all the vehicles of the business. <IMAGE>
