A household device allowing cheese to be kept in a container with high humidity and constant temperature by using a store of top soil which can be covered with decorative floral planting. It consists of a porous dome 1 surrounded by external walls 4 designed to receive around and above the dome 1 a store of earth 5 the function of which is to maintain the necessary level of humidity in the container of the dome 1 by watering the plants. Natural ventilation is created by a chimney 2 closed with a grille 3 and openings 6 formed in the base of the store 1. The temperature is controlled by the cooling effect of the evaporation of water on the damp walls. <IMAGE>
