PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of a document inversion mechanism, and to simplify a structure by reserving the feed of a copying form without copying the reverse side, when white paper of the reverse side of a document is detected by a data from a photoelectric conversion exposure system, replacing the document with the next document, and copying it to said copying form. CONSTITUTION:At the time of bringing successively plural sheets of documents to both-sided copying, if it is detected that the reverse side of the document is white paper, by a data from photoelectric conversion exposure systems 9, 13, a copying form is brought to holding at a prescribed part without executing the copying of this reverse side, and the feed of this copying form is reserved. On the other hand, the document whose reverse side is white paper is replaced with the next document, so that the next document is copied on the copying form whose feed has been reserved. Accordingly, the surface of the document, and the reverse side of the document are exposed by an optical exposure system 10, and the photoelectric conversion exposure systems 9, 13, respectively, therefore, both-sided copying can be executed without inverting the document. In such a way, the structure can be simplified by a portion which is not provided with a document inversion mechanism. |
