PURPOSE:To obtain fin material capable of reducing thickness and fitted for brazing with high productivity by keeping the temperature of a stock to be rolled at a specific temperature for a specific time in the course of rolling when a rough hot rolling is carried out to a clad material made by coating core material of specific composition with specific brazing material. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy ingot composed of 0.05-2.0%Mn, 0.6<=Si, 0.8<=Fe, 2.0<=Zn, and balance Al, or a clad material obtained by coating a core material obtained from the Al alloy ingot with Al-Si or Al-Si-Mg brazing material as a coating material is rough hot rolled. In this case, between a rolling pass after the total rolling reduction has exceeded 50% in the course of rolling and the next rolling pass the temp, of the stock to be rolled is kept at 300 deg.C-450 deg.C and for >= 1min. In this manner, fin material of thin-wall Al alloy excellent in high temperature buckling resistance is obtained. |
