PURPOSE:To enable the production of a composite which is formed by joining of an amorphous metal to an arbitrary metal and is usable as a magnetic sensor by negating the compressive stress generated in the amorphous metal of the composite formed by explosive joining of the amorphous metal and metal, by plastic working. CONSTITUTION:For example, the amorphous metal 2 having the same length as the length of a metallic plate 1 is joined by explosion to one side of said metal piece to form the amorphous metal-metal composite. This composite is bent at an adequate curvature as shown in the figure, by which arbitrary tensile strength is imparted to the amorphous metal 2. As a result, the compressive stress applied to the amorphous metal 2 by a difference in the coefft. of thermal expansion between the amorphous metal 2 and the metal 1 is negated. The magnetic sensor such as torque sensor having the excellent characteristics is, therefore, obtd. even if the amorphous metal is joined to the metals having substantially any coeffts. of thermal expansion. |
