PURPOSE:To improve preservability of a photosensitive material and to make a picture image more distinct by incorporating a specifired base precursor into a photosensitive compsn. CONSTITUTION:Silver halide, a reducing agent, a polymerizable compd., and a base precursor consisting of a salt of an organic. base (A) and a carboxylic acid (B) are contained in a photosensitive layer of a photosensitive material. A diacidic base - a tetraacidic base having 2-4 partial structures corresponding to atomic a groups prepd. by eliminating 1-2 H(s) from an amidine expressed by formula I together with joint groups of said partial structure, are used for the base (A). In the formula I, each R1-R4 is H, alkyl group, etc. Preferred acid (B) is an acid which is decarboxylated by heating at 50-200 deg.C. Further, a combination expressed by the formula II is usable as the afore-mentioned precursor. |
