PURPOSE:To prepare the title resin which provides a non-porous film having an excellent moisture permeability, by reacting a tetrahydrofuran/ethylene oxide random copolymer with an alicyclic diisocyanate and extending the molecular chain of the product with an alicyclic diamine. CONSTITUTION:A tetrahydrofuran/ethylene oxide random copolymer contg. 20-80wt.% ethylene oxide units and having a number-average MW of 800-3,000 is prepared. The object polyurethane resin is obtd. by reacting this random copolymer with an alicyclic diisocyanate (e.g., 4,4'-dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate) and extending the molecular chain of the product with an alicyclic diamine (e.g., 4,4'-dicyclohexyldiamine). The obtd. resin is processed for film formation to give a non-porous film, which is moisture-permeable and yet non- porous, so that it inhibits the passage of bacteria and is used favorably as a wound covering material and for the like purposes. |
