PURPOSE:To improve lubricating property and antiwear property by providing a plurality of small recesses on either or both of the upper slide surface of a cylinder liner or the slide surface of a piston ring and further plating chrome on these slide surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of circular recesses 6 having the diameter smaller than the width of a piston ring 3 are provided and distributed in several stepped rows on the surface of the cylinder liner 1 to hold lubricating oil on the upper portion of cylinder liner 1, while chrome is plated on the slide surface of cylinder liner 1 to prevent it from corrosion and wear. Then, the value of accumulated diameters of these recesses 6 is set longer than the circumferential length of cylinder liner 1. Also, a plurality of oil holes 4 for oiling lubricating oil similarly to prior ones are provided below these recesses 6 while a plurality of exhaust holes 7 are provided. |
