The invention relates to a permutation lock for cases or the like, having adjustment discs arranged on a pin, locking sleeves which are assigned to said discs, and a latching bolt which interacts therewith and is intended for engaging a counter-locking part. For a design which is advantageous in terms of use, the invention proposes that a detent bolt (25) which projects outwards with its actuating button (28) is movably mounted in the lock housing (4), which bolt exhibits a latching hook (25') which engages the counter-locking part (II) in the direction counter to the latching bolt (12). <IMAGE>
