PURPOSE:To save the quantity of storage data by applying compression coding to line drawing information representing area border and expressing a coded data corresponding to an area identification code. CONSTITUTION:The line drawing information representing the area border is subject to compression coding in the processing 10. A representative point of each area is set to speed up the discrimination of area in the processing 11. As the representative point, the gravity center of the area decided by equation I is used. Sets of an area identification code, an area border code and coordinate of the representative point are written in a table in the processing 12. Whether or not the coding processing is finished as to all areas is discriminated in the processing 13 and when the processing is not finished, the processing restores to the processing 10 and the coding processing of the next area is applied. A is a set of points included in the area, X1 is a coordinate vector of a point (i) and XR is a representative vector and N is number of points included in the area in equation I. |
