The service tunnel described by me in the patent application of 26 June 1987 and having longitudinal bracing has to be made of reinforced concrete in transportable rectangular-section segments. Bolting means for the longitudinal bracing of the individual tunnel segments are encased in concrete in the corners of the individual segments. Gaping of the individual segments during settlement in the subsoil is thereby prevented. With earthwork being carried out just once, the tunnel is intended to enable all service and disposal lines, which can be laid in a clustered manner, to be increased, exchanged, repaired, cleaned and monitored.
