In a grinding device for cutters (11) for self-loading forage boxes having a circular-arc-shaped cutting edge (13), a driven grinding wheel (19) is guided in only one direction over the cutting edges (13). This makes it possible to clamp a plurality of cutters (11) for self-loading forage boxes together on a disc (1) and then to place a fixed grinding wheel (19) against the rotating disc (1), or to guide the grinding wheel (19), fixed on an arm rotatably mounted at the centre (14) of the device, rotationally over the cutters (11) for self-loading forage boxes which are fixed on a fixed disc (1). <IMAGE>
