PURPOSE:To prevent generation of spark discharge between a recording electrode and a rear electrode by coating at least the tip of the recording electrode with an insulative membrane. CONSTITUTION:The tip of a recording electrode 13 is formed at a position approximately 30mum way back from a ground wedge-shaped end 18 of a substrate 10, and the surface of the recording electrode 13 is coated with an Si3N4 insulative membrane 14 of a thickness of 1,000Angstrom by means of plasma polymerization reaction. Next, a top plate is mounted on the substrate 10 through a spacer and integrally fixed adhesively using an epoxy resin adhesive to form an ink recording head. The preferable retreating distance of the tip of the recording electrode 13 from the end of the substrate is 5-300mum. In addition, the recommendable materials for coating the recording electrode 13 are SiC, SiN, SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3, BN, AlN, etc. |
