A hinged fitting for a backrest of a seat arrangement, which backrest can be pivoted between two positions, is characterised by two pins (2, 3), which are fixed on the backrest, and a bent lever (4), which is fixed on the seat part and has a latching recess (10) receiving one or the other of the two pins, and by a release lever (9) having a lug (11) which, when required, unblocks the locked position of the bent lever (4), cf.
