PURPOSE:To irradiate a photosensitive material to the quantity of exposure corresponding to desired gradation characteristics by setting a desired gradation pattern before exposure processing, and detecting the relative movement between an exposure light source and the photosensitive material successively by a detecting means during the exposure processing. CONSTITUTION:A control means 49 controls the brightness of the light source on the basis of control data outputted by a light source brightness setting means 47, feeds the current quantity of light back, and controls the light source 19 to specific brightness. Necessary gradation data are set with setting means 43, 47, and 60 prior to an exposure process so as to record desired gradations previously. A control mechanism 48 for the quantity of exposure is controlled on the basis of the position relation between the photosensitive material and exposure light source to irradiate a desired part on the photosensitive material to the quantity of exposure corresponding to desired gradation characteristics. Consequently, plural exposure areas are exposed at a time on exposure conditions corresponding to the positions of the exposure areas. |
