PURPOSE:To synchronize peripheral speed of an electrode wheel with welding speed properly by comparing peripheral speed of an upper electrode roll detected by each pulse generator and moving speed of a roll supporting frame with a set welding speed. CONSTITUTION:A lapped part of preceding and succeeding plates is held between upper and lower electrode rolls 3, 4. Preset welding speed according to the thickness of a steel plate is inputted to a speed regulating device 15. Pulse generators 13, 17 are connected to an electric motor 12 and a carriage motor 16 respectively to synchronize peripheral speed of the upper welding roll 3 with moving speed of a roll supporting frame. Each number of rotation is detected and the detection signal is sent to the speed regulating device 15. The speed regulating device 15 compares this with a preset welding speed, and synchronizes peripheral speed of the upper welding roll 3 with moving speed of the roll supporting frame by changing voltage of thyristors 14, 15 according to increment and decrement. |
