In order to utilise the steel-skeleton construction method, in terms of short construction times and cost advantages, for the construction of housing, schools and administrative buildings and to combine it with a solid construction method without lengthening the construction time and producing drying-out problems, the invention proposes a structural system, in the case of which the load-bearing elements for the steel skeleton comprises lightweight steel profiles 1a, 1b, as exterior-wall supporting profiles, which are fitted together with the aid of welded-on tie plates 1d and, prefabricated, can be easily erected in the necessary lengths. Prefabricated exterior-wall panels 2, 2' consisting of lightweight concrete are placed one upon the other in a mortar-free manner using steel dowels 3 and are secured on the exterior-wall supporting profiles 1 and 8 with the aid of steel spring-like clamps 4 and 7, respectively. Since the exterior-wall panels 2 reach as far as roofing panels, upon which it is possible to walk and which are laid on cantilevered roof trusses of the roof structure, and since the exterior-wall supporting profiles 8 can be used for mounting basic cases for windows and doors, a weatherproof shell is provided after a very short period of construction time, which shell ensures, even in the event of unfavourable weather, that further construction work can be carried out in the interior of the structure. <IMAGE>
