<p>Device for guiding and unwinding selvedges for stitching together knitted pieces on pan-bed sewing machines. It comprises two spaced slideways (18, 19) and a separating blade (20) capable of being positioned at the centre of the slideways for the sewing of the jersey field and of being raised out of the slideways for the sewing of the ribbed edges. Two unwinding shuttles (30, 31) arranged respectively on the right and on the left of the separating blade (20) unwind the selvedges of the jersey field and are spaced apart for the sewing of the ribbed edges. It comprises, furthermore, two inserts (24, 25) of a thickness substantially equal to that of the jersey field to be sewn, which are placed between the separating blade (20) and each of the shuttles (30, 31) and the lower part of which has a rounded profile located at some distance above the slideways, thereby perfectly delimiting the space available for the selvedges of the knitted pieces. <IMAGE></p> |
