PURPOSE:To execute the setting of a storing medium in the midst of executing a copying operation by receiving the storing medium such as an IC card, etc., in a recorder and discriminating the opportunity for reading by an opportunity discrimination means. CONSTITUTION:A storing medium receiving means 11 for receiving the storing medium set from the outside, a reading means 12 for reading out data from the storing medium, the opportunity discrimination means 13 for discriminating the opportunity when the storing medium received by the storing medium receiving means 11 is read out by the reading means 12, a storage part 14 which stores the data read out by the reading means 12 and a control part 15 which executes the control of the respective parts based on the data stored in the storage part 14 are installed in the recording device. When the control part 15, for example, executes the control of the copying operation, the opportunity discrimination means 13 prohibits the reading means 12 from reading out the data until the said control is completed. Thus, the external storing medium such as the IC card, etc., can be set at any time. |
