PURPOSE:To provide a long wire with high current density easily by covering ceramic superconductor with Ag or Au before making it ceramics and then performing processing. CONSTITUTION:Components producing ceramic superconductor by sintering are dissolved and cast to form a rod, which is covered with Ag or Ag alloy and shaped in coldness into a specified configuration, and the wire after shaping is heated in oxygen atmosphere. This does not require rapid cooling for making it amorphous, and long wire can be made ceramics after molding. This enables manufacture of ceramic superconductive wire with stable characteristics and, in particular, with high current density. |
