PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having the excellent color reproducibility by providing with an emulsion layer contg. a specified magenta coupler and a sensitizing dye in the titled material, and specifying the ratio of the sensitivity at the peak wavelength of spectral sensitivity to the sensitivity at the wavelength of 500nm, to two or more times. CONSTITUTION:The layer of coloring to a magenta color is constituted of a green sensitive layer composed of a silver halide particle which contains at least one kind of the couplers shown by formulas I and II, and at least one kind of the spectrally sensitizing dyes shown by formulas III-V, and is spectrally sensitized so as to have the peak between the wavelengths of 540-555nm of the spectral sensitivity. The green sensitive layer is specified so as to have two or more times of the ratio of the sensitivity at the peak wavelength of the spectral sensitivity to that at the wavelength of 500nm. In formulas I-V, R1 is alkyl or aryl group, etc., R2 is hydrogen atom. or a substituting group, R'2 is alkyl or aryl group, etc., X is hydrogen atom. or a group capable of releasing a coupler, W1 and W2 are each hydrogen atom. or alkyl group, V1-V4 are each hydrogen or halogen atom., etc., V5 and V6 are each hydrogen atom. or alkyl group, etc. Thus, the coloring property and the color reproducibility of the titled material are improved, and the storage property of an image is improved. |
