PURPOSE:To prevent a graphic from being collapsed by generating an outline pattern from inputted outline data, painting out the inside, and taking the exclusive OR of a pattern in which the painted out pattern is thinned and outline data. CONSTITUTION:An outline is drawn in a memory 4 based on a coordinate value from a keyboard and the like, and data in which the thickness of the outline is set to one dot of an output dot is generated in an image memory 5, whereby inside the outline of a memory 4 is painted out so as to obtain pattern data. Next, the pattern is reduced one dot by one along the outer edge of the painted out pattern, and the exclusive OR of the thinned pattern and the outline pattern generated in the memory 5 is taken. |
