PURPOSE:To obtain a clearer image by using a compd. having a specified viscosity as a polymerizable compd. contained in a photosensitive layer and by carrying out pressurization at 30-120 deg.C at the time of transfer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material having a photosensitive layer contg. silver halide, a reducing agent and a polymerizable compd. having >=100cPs viscosity at 25 deg.C on the support is imagewise exposed to form a latent image of silver halide and development is carried out simultaneously with or after the exposure to polymerize the polymerizable compd. in the latent image area. An image receiving material is superposed on the developed photosensitive material and >=100kg/cm<2> pressure is applied to the materials at 30-120 deg.C to transfer the unpolymerized polymerizable compd. to the image receiving material. Since the photosensitive layer hardly undergoes physical damage during the handling of the photosensitive material, transfer is facilitated and a clear image is obtd. |
