PURPOSE:To obtain a solid-state device, in which the mean output of laser beam is increased by repeating oscillation operation at high repeated frequency while the cross section of laser beams is diminished by driving a laser medium into a plurality of excitation regions, by installing a plurality of excitation light sources, partitioning oscillation operation in the laser medium at every excitation region and periodically conducting oscillation operation. CONSTITUTION:There are provided tabular laser media 1, excitation light sources 2 adjacent to at least one main surface of the laser media 1 and being disposed under the state of (n) rows in parallel with the progressive direction of laser beam passing in the laser media 1, a resonator consisting of a reflecting mirror 5 and a partial transmission mirror 6, an optical device including optical means forwarding each laser beams projected from (n) excitation regions in the laser 1 corresponding to the excitation light sources 2 to the same optical path, detectors 12, 13 detecting the positions of the optical means forming the optical paths of laser beams projected from the media 1 while being substantially opposed to the incident and outgoing faces of the laser media 1, and a control means 14 being synchronized with said optical means substantially opposed through said resonator to the incident and outgoing faces of the laser media 1 and lighting the excitation light sources 2 in the excitation regions corresponding to the optical means. |
