<p>PURPOSE:To enable to generate a predetermined steering angle function necessary for rear wheel steering even employing a re-circulating ball type front wheel steering gear by a structure wherein an engaging piece, which engages with a cam groove formed onto a rear wheel steering cam, is integrally provided with an offset arm. CONSTITUTION:A pin 41 serving as the engaging piece engages with a cam shaft 31 and is formed through a crack arm 42 and an offset shaft 43 together with the offset arm into an integral body. When a steering wheel is operated for steering, a rear wheel steering cam 30, which is formed integrally with a steering shaft 2, is pivoted either rightward or leftward, the rotation of the offset arm integral with the pin 41, which is guided by the cam groove 31 formed onto the outer periphery of the cam 30, is resulted. When the pin 41 engages with the parts 33 and 35 of the groove 31 by crossing a center line 30a through the neutral point 34 of the cam groove 31 of the cam 30, the steering of the rear wheels is in the same phase with that of the front wheels. On the other hand, when the pin 41 engages with the parts 32 and 36, which lie between from the center line 30a to both the ends of the groove 31 respectively, the steering of the rear wheels is performed in a 180 deg. out-of-phase with that of the front wheels.</p> |
