PURPOSE:To provide a bacteriostatic zeolite-containing film composed of an organic polymer film containing a specific amount of bacteriostatic zeolite, having a specific film thickness, exhibiting sufficient bacteriostatic activity even at a low content of bacteriostatic zeolite and having excellent transparency. CONSTITUTION:An organic polymeric compound (e.g. ionomer polymer) is mixed with a bacteriostatic zeolite (preferably produced by exchanging exchangeable ion in a zeolite having an average particle diameter of <=6mum with a bacteriostatic ion such as copper ion) and the obtained composition is formed in the form of a film to obtain a bacteriostatic zeolite-containing film containing 10-100mg/m<2>, preferably 25-75mg/m<2> of bacteriostatic zeolite, having a film thickness of <=15mum, preferably 3-6mum and suitable as food packaging material, medical packaging material, etc. A bacteriostatic laminate film having improved strength can be produced by laminating a substrate to the film. |
