PURPOSE:To improve the overdischarge-resisting property by making the discharge capacity of alkaline metal ions which are absorbed and emitted by the charge and the discharge to a specific negative electrode alloy larger than the discharge capacity of a manganese dioxide which is the main active substance of a positive electrode, and smaller than the discharge capacity of the whole positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:Manganese dioxide is used as the main active substance of a positive electrode 7, and an anatase-type titanium dioxide is used as the auxiliary active substance, while an alloy in which lithium and the alloy are formed by absorbing the alkaline metal ions, or the lithium ions, in the electrolyte in the discharge, and the lithium is emitted as ions in the electrolyte is used as a negative electrode 4. And the discharge capacity of the lithium which is the negative electrode 4 is composed larger than the discharge capacity of the manganese dioxide which is the main active substance, and smaller than the discharge capacity of the whole positive electrode 7 consisting of the main active substance and the auxiliary active substance, the anatase-type titanium oxide, which is added to the main active substance. As a result, the cell voltage can be overdischarged up to the 0V value. In such a composition, the overdischarge-resisting property can be improved. |
