PURPOSE:To improve the operability at the time of an editing mode, by executing a spelling check of the word concerned by a carriage return key operation which has been executed in a state that a cursor is positioned on the word at the time of the editing mode. CONSTITUTION:The titled typewriter is provided with a check condition enlarging means (i) for executing a spelling check processing (c) to a word in response to a carriage return key operation (h) which has been executed in a state that a cursor on an indicator (g) for showing an input point to a sentence memory (e) is positioned on one word at the time of an editing mode (f). Also, this typewriter is provided with an error detecting memory (j) for storing a spelling error which has been detected by a spelling check processing (c) in this check condition enlarging means (i), and a line feed executing means (k) for executing a line feed processing in response to the carriage return key operation (h) which has been executed again in a state that a spelling error has been stored in this error detecting memory (j). In such a way, an error correcting operation of the word concerned can be executed surely and simply, and the operability at the time of the editing mode can be remarkably improved. |
