PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by connecting one terminal of a protection circuit element to one terminal of a semiconductor switching element in common and leading the other terminal out independently so as to allow the characteristics of the switching element and the protective circuit element to be measured again individually after the manufacture of the solid-state relay device. CONSTITUTION:One terminal of a varister being a protective circuit element is connected to one terminal T1 of a semiconductor switching element (triac) 25 in common in the solid-state relay device 21 and the other terminal is led out to the protection circuit terminal (e). In connecting the protection circuit terminal (e) to one output terminal (d) of the solid-state relay device 21 via a connection line l17 provided separately in common, the varister 26 is connected in parallel between the terminals T1 and T2 of the triac 25 and acts like the protective circuit element against an abnormal voltage Es such as a surge voltage invaded through power lines la, lb. In connecting the terminal (e) to a ground level GND via a connection line l18, an abnormal voltage Eg such as a surge voltage caused between the power supply AC and the ground level GND is suppressed and absorbed to protect the solid-state relay device 21. |
