<p>PURPOSE: To extremely simply knit gloves in which highly colored pattern is given by operating a pattern ordering device of a hosiery-knitting machine. CONSTITUTION: A short cylinder-like opening part 1 for inserting hand finger is knitted by rubber knit using a hosiery-knitting machine. Then, cylindrical drum part 2 having larger diameter than that of the opening part 1 is knitted by flat knitting, continued to final end of the opening 1. In this stage, the knitted fabric is removed from the knitting machine and the knitted fabric is put on a cutting board while keeping the pattern on the inside and pressed to make the knitted fabric flat. The flatted body part 2' is cut along cutting lines reaching the center of the drum part 2' from the edge 2a and upper and lower cut pieces 4a to 4d are mutually sewn to provide finger gloves 6a to 6d. The knitted fabric is cut from the root of the second finger glove 4d along a bowed cutting line 7 and a thumb globe 8 separately prepared is sewn on the cut line.</p> |
