PURPOSE:To freely reproduce an arbitrary moving image signal and to execute the multi-purpose use of an image recording medium by time division multiplex recording predictive error data obtained by predictively coding individually plural moving image signals to a recording medium with the correlation between image units. CONSTITUTION:For respective predictive circuits 26l-26n, external output terminals 31l-31n are connected so as to be able to supply the predictive output to an external part at any rate, and consequently by connecting a receiver (not shown in the figure) for respective external output terminals 31l-31n, plural images recorded in a CD-ROM24 can be simultaneously reproduced with plural receivers. Since for a compressing image recording reproducing system 21, predictive error data Elj-Enj obtained by predictively coding individually plural moving image signals Vl-Vn with the correlation between image units are time-division-multiple-recorded to the CD-ROM24 and arbitrary moving image signals Vl-Vn can be freely reproduced, plural moving image signals Vl-Vn collected into the CD-ROM24 can be reproduced simultaneously in parallel. |
