PURPOSE:To achieve accurate and quick stop control of a carrier, by providing main and auxiliary stators to a linear induction motor and controlling the direction and magnitude of exciting currents for both stators. CONSTITUTION:A stator 16 for a linear induction motor is arranged on the under face of the upper wall of a orbital frame 11 between guiderails 12 while being separated by predetermined distance therefrom. Auxiliary sideface stators 64 for the linear induction motor are arranged on the opposite side walls of the orbital frame 11 at a stopping position of the carrier 15. Magnitude and direction of exciting currents to be fed to the stators 16, 64 are controlled independently according to position, acceleration/deceleration and stop control of the carrier 15. Consequently, the carrying efficiency and stopping accuracy can be improved. |
