PURPOSE:To improve workability at the time of replacement, by a method wherein a clamp mechanism for chase blocks, attached to upper and lower die sets, is constituted so as to be capable of operating on the same handling surface while a cavity block and an ejector unit are attached to the main body of common chase block so as to be replacable. CONSTITUTION:When other kind product is molded, upper and lower clamp mechanisms 24, 30 are operated toward unclamping directions to extract upper and lower chase blocks 9, 10 out of upper and lower die sets 1, 2 and a cavity block 14 and an ejector unit 15, which are used previously, are removed from the main body 11 of a common chase block of the lower chase block 10. The cavity block 14, corresponding to a product to be molded newly, is received into a cavity block receiving hole 12, formed in the main body 11 of the common chase block, and the ejector pin 17 of the ejector unit 15 is penetrated through the ejector pin hole 13 of the main body 11 of the common chase block to incorporate it. The cavity block 14 and the ejector unit 15 of the lower chase block 10 are replaced, thereafter, the upper and lower chase blocks 9, 10 are incorporated and molding is effected. |
