PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductor exhibiting superconductivity at >=77K by compression-molding a powder mixture consisting of a first powder consisting primarily of Y, second powder consisting primarily of Sr or/and Ca, and third powder consisting primarily of Cu, Zn, etc., then calcining the compression- molded product in oxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Powder of a first component (A1) contg. Y element, a second component (A2) contg. Sr and/or Ca element, and a third component (A3) contg. at least one among Cu, Zn, and Ni, etc. are mixed. Then, a molded body obtd. by the compression-molding of said powder mixture is calcined at 950-1,200 deg.C in oxidizing atmosphere. The sintered body obtd. by this process has K2NiF4 structure contg. rhombic crystals, consisting of elements belonging to A1, A2, and A3 together with O. The content of each component is defined by 10<=A1<=60 atom.%, 20<=A2<=50 atom.%, and 30<=A3<=65 atom.%. |
