PURPOSE:To produce a superconductor which exhibits superconductivity at above the b.p. of liquid N2 by compression-molding a powder mixture of specified three kinds of element, then calcining in oxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A powder mixture is prepd. by mixing powder consisting primarily of at least two elements including Y selected from a group (A1) of elements consisting of Y, Er, Sc, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Tm, Yb, and Lu, with powder consisting primarily of at least two kinds of element including Ba selected from a group (A2) of elements consisting of Ba, Ca, and Sr, and powder consisting primarily of at least one kind of element selected from a group (A3) of elements consisting of Cu, Zn, Ni, Co, Fe, Pd, Ag, and Cd. After compression-molding the powder mixture, obtd. molded product is calcined at 950-1,200 deg.C in oxidizing atmosphere to obtain thus a superconductor comprising a sintered body consisting of A1, A2, A3 and O, contg. 10<=A1<=60, 20<=A2<=50, and 30<=A3<=65 atomic %, having K2NiF4 structure contg. rhombic crystals, is obtd. |
