PURPOSE:To prevent the surface from flowing reliably, by a method wherein the external surface of extruded unvulcanized rubber hoes is cured and cooled by cooling the extruded unvulcanized rubber hose, to which ultraviolet rays have been applied, while applying the ultraviolet rays to the surface of the same. CONSTITUTION:An unvulcanized rubber hose 3 extruded through an extruding machine 1 is conveyed into the next cooling tank 9 having an ultraviolet-light irradiator 5. A mercury lamp 7 is provided in about the central part of each of a right and left jackets 6a, in the ultraviolet-light irradiator 5. At the time when the unvulcanized rubber hose 3, which has been conveyed, passes through the inside of the cooling tank 9, ultraviolet rays are applied to the surface of the unvulcanized rubber hose 3 and the surface of unvulcanized rubber hose 3 is cooled. Therefore, the external surface of the unvulcanized rubber hose 3 is cured and cooled. Then an unvulcanized rubber hose 4 after application of the ultraviolet rays to the same to be carried out of the cooling tank 9 is wound up round a predetermined pallet 2. Then the unvulcanized rubber hose 4 after application of the ultraviolet rays to the same is vulcanized by by arranging in a predetermined vulcanization can along with the pallet 2. |
