PURPOSE:To improve the output display precision of radioactive rays by circulating a temperature-controlled refrigerant around an unsealed ion chamber. CONSTITUTION:An ion chamber 11 is stored in a case 5, with its high-voltage electrode 2 and a current collecting electrode 3 electrically insulated by insulating spacers 4a-4c. A connector 6 applying the DC high voltage to the high- voltage electrode 2 and collecting charges from the current collecting electrode 3 is provided, and a cooling water pipeline 7 is provided on the outer periphery of the case 5 of the ion chamber 11. When the cooling water of the accelerating tube of an accelerator is circulated in the cooling water pipeline 7 of the ion chamber 11, the temperature of the ion chamber 11 can be controlled precisely at a low cost. The output display precision of radioactive rays can be thereby improved.
